Several of our staff are trained in first aid and are able to provide assistance.
For minor injuries:
Ask at the Library Helpdesk for a first aider or call 0113 283 7244 to speak to a member of staff.
If no Library staff are available, e.g. out of service hours, call for assistance from a Porter on 0113 283 7203.
If immediate medical attention is required:
Do not move the victim unless it is essential to prevent further injury. Ask at the Library Helpdesk for a first aider or call 0113 283 7244 to speak to a member of staff.
If no Library or Security staff are available call Reception on 0113 283 7100 giving details of the accident slowly and clearly, and ask them to call for an ambulance.
If there is no reply from Reception dial 999 and ask for 'ambulance'.
When the Ambulance Service answers, state clearly and slowly: 'Accident at Leeds Trinity University, Brownberrie Lane, Horsforth. Enter University grounds by
Main entrance'. Call for assistance from a Porter on 0113 283 7203 and they will send someone to meet the ambulance.
