Several of our staff are trained in first aid and are able to provide assistance.
For minor injuries:
- Ask at the Library Helpdesk for a first aider or call 0113 283 7244 to speak to a member of staff.
- If no Library staff are available, e.g. out of service hours, call for assistance from a Porter on 0113 283 7203.
If immediate medical attention is required:
- Do not move the victim unless it is essential to prevent further injury.
- Ask at the Library Helpdesk for a first aider or call 0113 283 7244 to speak to a member of staff.
- If no Library or Security staff are available call Reception on 0113 283 7100 giving details of the accident slowly and clearly, and ask them to call for an ambulance.
- If there is no reply from Reception dial 999 and ask for 'ambulance'.
- When the Ambulance Service answers, state clearly and slowly: 'Accident at Leeds Trinity University, Brownberrie Lane, Horsforth. Enter University grounds by Main entrance'.
- Call for assistance from a Porter on 0113 283 7203 and they will send someone to meet the ambulance.
