Quiet and silent study

Quiet study

The open areas on the library floors are designated for quiet study - these are ideal when you want to pop in and find somewhere to work by yourself.  We ask that you consider those around you, and keep noise to a minimum in these areas.  There are quiet study spaces on all floors, which are not bookable - the majority of these have computers but some are left free so you can use your own laptop or device, if you wish to.  Please don't reserve spaces, and if you need to leave your desk please take your belongings with you - we have lockers available if you need somewhere to store your stuff.

Silent study

Students wishing to work in silence can use the open access silent study room on the first floor of the Library.  This is a noise-free zone!  If you experience any issue with noise or disruption, when working here or elsewhere in the Library, please let us know about it so we can help.

Send an email to us at librarynoise@leedstrinity.ac.uk and let us know where in the Library you are working, and we will do our best to respond within ten minutes during our library staffed hours. Outside of these hours please visit the Library Helpdesk and report any problems to Security staff.
