IT facilities

PCs, laptops, printers - we have the IT facilities you need, including an IT room which is open 24/7

PCs and laptops

There are over 700 PCs and Apple Macs located throughout the Library and Andrew Kean Learning Centre, meaning you are very likely to find one when you need one! Most of these are open access and not bookable. Students can borrow laptops from the IT Helpdesk - these can be requested through the Self Service Portal.

We have ten accessible PCs with larger screens available too. Please check our floor guides for locations.

You are also welcome to bring and use your own devices on campus - for more information on connecting to Campus Wifi please see IT Services - Leeds Trinity University, or ask at the IT Helpdesk.

Printing, copying and scanning

There are printers on every floor of the Library - these devices can be used to photocopy and scan as well.

Current printing prices are:

  • A4 mono - 7p
  • A4 colour - 14p
  • A3 mono - 14p
  • A3 colour - 24p

You need to scan your University ID card in order to login to the device/collect your printing, and please remember to log out when you have finished.

To top up your printing balance please use the online PaperCut portal or visit the Library Helpdesk.

Printshop

The Printshop, based in the main building, offers specialist printing including:

  • Leaflets
  • Postcards
  • Posters up to A0 size
  • Handouts

They can also help you with dissertation printing and binding!

All services can be accessed via the online Printshop

IT support

If you need any help accessing or using IT facilities in the Andrew Kean Learning Centre, please visit the IT Self Service Portal as a first port of call. You'll be able to find helpful information and guides here to direct and assist you.  If you are still struggling to find the answer to your query, you can log this in the portal directly, or contact the IT Helpdesk.

University staff can also find helpful guides and support on Sharepoint.

RemoteAccess

RemoteAccess gives you access to the University IT system from off-campus:

  • Windows Desktop
  • University Applications (including Library)
  • Your files and shared drives

If you want to use any of the Microsoft Office applications for your coursework then you can also log in to www.office.com using your Leeds Trinity University email address and password from any device.

24-Hour IT Room

If you need to study outside of our opening hours, the 24-Hour IT room is ideal. The room is (like it sounds!) open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and has 43 PCs.

You don't need to book to use the PCs, but you will need your University ID card to get in the building after 7pm.

The room has a printer/photocopier, and toilet and vending facilities are also available throughout the night.
