Borrowing for external users

All external members can borrow a total of 5 items on a two week loan period.

Your loans will be renewed automatically for nine months, unless they are reserved by another borrower.

After nine months, you will need to return the items. We will remind you two days before items are due back, and we will remind you when items are one day, one week, and two weeks overdue.

We don't charge fines but you will be liable to pay a £15 replacement charge if items are not returned after the due date. See our page on regulations and charges for more information.

Unfortunately, you will not be able to reserve items that are out on loan.  If you have any queries about your account please contact us.

Please note: due to licensing restrictions, Leeds Trinity University cannot provide access to online resources to external members.

Using the Library as an external member

Study areas

As an external library member, you may use the study areas in the Library - areas catering for individual, silent and group study needs are provided.  Students and staff of the University have priority for using group study rooms and carrels but, if not booked, these can be used by external users.  The study room booking system is not available for external users.  All users are required to carry their membership card when using the Library. The card is also required to access the building, and items cannot be borrowed without presenting your membership card.

Wifi

External users with an existing wifi setup to the eduroam service may connect their device to the University wifi.   This will provide an internet connection, but not access to the Leeds Trinity network or intranet.
