We are recruiting for an Information Assistant to work at our newly opened City campus in the centre of Leeds.  The successful candidate will play a part in helping deliver processes and services at the new campus.  In addition, they will provide an effective Helpdesk service for Library users and maintain support services essential for the day-to-day running of the Library. 

Applicants should have experience of providing customer service to users, and excellent interpersonal & communication skills are a must.  Recent experience of working in a library or information service is desirable.

Our current period of 24-hour opening at Horsforth comes to an end this week on Friday 13th December, at midnight. 

In the week commencing Monday 16th December, we will be open Monday to Thursday from 08.30-21.00, on Friday from 08.30-16.45 and on Saturday and Sunday from 13.00-20.45.

The Horsforth Campus Library (and the whole of the Andrew Kean Learning Centre, excluding the 24-Hour IT room and foyer) as well as the Leeds City Campus Library will be closed on the following dates:

• Monday 23rd December
• Tuesday 24th December
• Wednesday 25th December
• Thursday 26th December
• Wednesday 1st January

Library Helpdesk

Library staff will be taking a well-deserved rest over the vacation! The Library Helpdesks will close at 4.45 pm on Friday 20th December 2024 and re-open on Thursday 2nd January 2025 at 9.00 am. 

Andrew Kean Learning Centre & Leeds City Campus Library

The Library spaces in the Andrew Kean Learning Centre will be open (with Security staff) from Friday 27th December - Tuesday 31st December.

The Leeds City Campus Library will be CLOSED on the above dates.

The main passenger lift at Horsforth Campus Library will be out-of-action on Friday 13th December while some maintenance work is carried out.  The lift in the extension will be available as usual, and should you require any assistance fetching items from the higher floors please speak to our Helpdesk team, who will be happy to assist.
