To make our collection more accessible, we have changed the borrowing policy for our print journals. Previously, all our print journals were reference only, meaning they could only be used within the Library. We have made selected journals loanable, so they can be used outside of the library.

Which journals can I borrow?

The following titles are available to borrow:

  • Early Education Journal
  • Writing in Education
  • MA News
  • Mathematics in School
  • Symmetry Plus
  • Primary Mathematics
  • British Journal of Photography
  • The Author
  • Teaching English
  • RE Today
  • Jesuits and Friends
  • Teaching Today

We have chosen these titles as they are current print subscriptions which we don't have online access to. If there is another journal within our collection you would like to borrow, contact us with the details and we will consider your request.

How long can I borrow them?

These items are available for our standard two-week loan period. However, unlike most items in our collection these are non-renewable, which means they must be returned as soon as the loan period is expired. They are also not available for reservation.

Lost or damaged items will incur a standard £15 administration charge to cover costs.

For more information about journals, please visit the Journals page in the Finding Resources guide on the Library website.
