Using other libraries

You may be eligible to use other libraries to access resources that Leeds Trinity University Library cannot supply, or simply for convenience.

SCONUL Access

SCONUL Access is a scheme which allows many university library users to use study spaces or resources at other higher education libraries which belong to the scheme.

  • You can apply for SCONUL Access yourself.
  • Applications are approved by Leeds Trinity University Library.
  • Your application will only be approved if you are in good standing with Leeds Trinity University Library (i.e. you owe less than £10 in fines and have no loans overdue by 28 days or more). You will receive an email with further details on how to take part in the scheme.
  • Full-time undergraduates will only get reference access to other libraries; staff and postgraduate students may be able to borrow print books.

For more information visit the SCONUL Access website.

Things to know:

  • Some institutions are not participating at this time - check the SCONUL website before you visit.
  • You will need to reapply for SCONUL Access if your approval has expired.

We have an agreement with University of Leeds Library which allows Leeds Trinity University staff and students to gain enhanced access and borrowing rights, over and above the SCONUL Access scheme.
